We all know 2020 was a year many of us would like to put in the rear view mirror as we roll into a return to "normal life" in 2021. For the library, 2020 was a year of innovation and "figuring it out" as we learned to create virtual programs and deliver curbside services for our patrons. Our weekly virtual storytime, became a full slate of Facebook and YouTube programs, like fitness, arts and crafts, cooking and even learning a new language (Language Lab, anyone?)! 2020 was also a year of Digital Library services, the launching of long sought after resources like Kanopy (free movies!), LinkedIn Learning (nothing like professional development to help pass those hours at home) and Online Book Club!
While we are all looking forward to spending our days in our libraries again, sharing books and ideas with our patrons of all ages, let's take a moment and see all the wonderful things that Fulton County Library System accomplished in 2020.
