On Saturday, April 1st, the Kirkwood Library was excited to host Brave + Kind Book Shop along with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and book club founder, Amerie! Amerie shared her first published picture book with over 58 guests. The author spoke about the importance of representation in picture books, her writing process, the beautiful illustrations by Raissa Figueroa and more. Amerie answered questions and signed tons of books! You will do Great Things is not on our shelves yet but expect to see it here soon!
