National Park and Recreation Month is an annual celebration of parks and recreation to promote building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation. It has been celebrated for nearly 40 years, with this year’s theme being “Where You Belong.” It aims to highlight the various ways park and recreation professionals across the country foster a sense of belonging in their communities.
