GED General Information
- To register for the GED®, go to www.ged.com or call 1-877-EXAM-GED (392-6433). Test dates are ongoing and can be accessed by logging into the registration site. If you have problems with the online registration or if you don’t have access to a computer; then call 1-877-EXAM-GED and PearsonVue will help you with the registration process.
- The GED Test has four parts, and the cost of each part is $40, for a total of $160 to complete the full exam. Students must pass all four parts of the exam to earn a GED credential.

- GED Classes are offered at the Central Library branch through a partnership with the Atlanta Public Schools System (APS) Adult Education Program. A valid state ID is needed for placement. Please call for the days when new students may come for class placement and to find information about the days and times of classes and new student class registration requirements. Atlanta Worksource (GED Preparation)

- The WorkSource Atlanta program is committed to serving adults (ages 18 and older) who wish to improve their basic academic skills, such as reading, writing, and math, to prepare for the GED test. GED preparation classes are offered at no cost through state-approved adult education programs. These classes are offered onsite every week.

Atlanta Technical College
- Atlanta Technical College is located on Metropolitan Parkway just south of Downtown Atlanta. We are a two-year, non-residential, technical college that focuses on applied learning and skilled trades. We offer over 150 programs in degree, diploma, and technical certificates of credit. An ATC education is affordable because many of our programs are 100% tuition free through the HOPE Career Grant.
