Looking for your next read? Check out Hooray for Fish! by Lucy Cousins, reviewed by Fulco Library staff, Erin P.
Lucy Cousins is best known for the Maisy the mouse books, and here she uses her trademark style to explore the underwater world. Little Fish is looking for someone in particular, but along the way, he meets the many varied fish that call the sea home. He greets each fish with a bright “Hello!” and a descriptive word. Minimal text on each page makes room for all the amazing variety of fish in the illustrations. Brilliant colors, bold illustrations, and rhyming text make this an excellent picture book for young children. If you enjoy this one, also try Hooray For Birds! by the same author.
