World Science Day for Peace and Development (WSD) is observed on November 10th every year. This year it will fall on a Sunday, the theme for World Science Day for Peace and Development in 2024 is “Global Science for Global Wellbeing”. WSD was established in 2001 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), to recognize the efforts of scientists around the world. It's also an opportunity to encourage dialogue between scientific organizations and policy makers as well as promote public awareness of science-related issues facing our planet today.
