Kamille Mayes is a visual artist based in Metro-Atlanta that has a passion for sequential art and storytelling. She is a recent graduate of Georgia State University where she earned her Bachelors of Art degree in Studio Art with a focus in animation and new media. Her work relies on the use of portrait art, screen printing, and animation. In each painting Mayes combines two or three mediums to create pieces with layers of depth and meaning as she explores topics that focus on family history, animated narrative stories, and her experience navigating through adulthood.
Currently, her work is being shown at the Thomasville Center for the Arts in the group exhibition, The Next Hundred Years, curated by Tracy Murrell and Ren Dillard.
