Research tells us that exposure to other cultures helps to promote diversity awareness. Some of the cultural programs that we have hosted are: Spanish/Chinese Storytime and Discover Languages Month with Lingual Kids.

Arts and Crafts
We offer arts and craft exercises to expose children to a variety of new and different ways to express their creativity.
Books and Materials
The Children's Department includes materials in all subject areas for children from birth to 7th grade.

Summer Reading Program
The Children's Department participates in the statewide Summer Reading Program.

We offer instruction in using our web database; we provide guided tours of the Children's Department and the Central Library.
