National Book Lovers Day is celebrated each year on August 9th. Here at Fulton County Central Library, we are excited to share the love of reading with our patrons. While the origins of this observance are not well recorded, National Book Lovers Day is a great way to mark the outsized impact books have on our lives. For the past several years, book lovers across the country have celebrated through intentionally creating time to read. 
Try putting away phones or other devices, listening to calming music, or settling in with a favorite snack to cultivate the perfect reading environment. Whether you pick up an old favorite or try something completely new, National Book Lovers Day and the Central Library encourage you to prioritize reading this August.
