Welcome to The Year of the Book

The Year of the Book celebrates the power of reading to bring people together. Throughout 2026, FulcoLibrary invites you to connect through shared stories, ideas, and reading experiences that inspire curiosity and community.

Discover new events, reading challenges, and unexpected moments at a library near you all year long.

The Year of the Book is supported in part by the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation.

Reading is more fun when there's an adventure involved.

Each month, Year of the Book features a new reading challenge designed to spark curiosity, stretch your reading habits, and celebrate the stories you love.

Choose a challenge, read at your own pace, and log your reading in Beanstack to earn digital badges along the way. Every book counts, whether it's print, audiobook, or eBook.
